Your personal data is safe with us. We do not forward your information to third parties for commercial purposes.

Smooth ordering

In order to deliver your package, we need your first name, last name, and address. The telephone number is only asked for the delivery. Specifically DHL uses it if they for example are shipping to an apartment/office block or somewhere with a gated entrances. Other than that they may use it to send texts about the order status to you. Your email address is used to update you on the status of your order and to send you your invoice. We may also send you tips on how to best use your purchase in the weeks after your order. You can of course always choose to refrain from our carefully formulated tips and DIY. In that case, subscribe from our mails.

Wondering how the website remembers the products in your cart when you last left us? Our site is smart: it remembers your IP-address and makes sure you continue where you left off.

Safe payment

Your payment is processed in a safe environment. When you pay with creditcard, your information is sent from our secured payment environment directly to Multisafepay, who executes your payment. They update us when it has succeeded.


It’s in your hands: you can check, edit or remove your personal data in your Asoki Account. Need help? Email [email protected]. We store information about your earlier orders so that we can help you as quickly as possible.
Tip from an insider: make sure to check your full address in the email with your order confirmation, because if your package has already been handed out to our shipping partner, we will not be able to change the address.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except you cannot change your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We can check the shipping information if you have any issues with your parcel delivery and we can check the email address submitted with the order if you have not received our automated order notification.

Sending a gift

It is possible to have your order shipped to a shipping address which is different than your billing address. This information is used to send the parcel.

Reviews, comments, uploaded media

When submitting a review, we ask for your name and email address so that we can thank you. Website visitors only see your name.

When you leave a comment, the website collects the data shown in the comments form. Also, to help spam detection: the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string. This automated mechanism is important to detect and prevent spam comments.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.


If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content like Vimeo videos

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, for example, in the case of our video on the home page.

Request to delete data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Fraud prevention

It is possible that customer information has to be used to investigate fraud and possibly has to be sent to a governmental institution.
